This HDMI to HDMI audio converter from avedio links can extract audio from a digital HDMI input source and output it via optical SPDIF or L/R stereo audio out to your Amplifier, Soundbar, Speaker, etc. It also allows you to output audio separately to an audio receiver without powering on your HDTV/Monitor.
The converter offers three switchable audio EDID settings. (1) If the audio output is AUX, set the converter to 2CH mode and the audio input source to LPCM audio format output. (2) For SPDIF audio output, both 2CH and 5.1CH audio modes are supported - adjust the parameter according to your audio receiver. (3) In pass-through mode, 7.1 channel HDMI audio can pass through, but the L/R and SPDIF outputs will be muted. (4) If the HDMI display is a Projector or DVI Monitor, set it to 2CH or 5.1CH based on your AV receiver's specifications. (5) Speakers supporting optical input may not necessarily support Dolby or DTS, so set the source audio output to PCM format.
